Turkey and Vietnam have agreed to strengthen their partnership in electric vehicle manufacturing and other sectors such as industrial parks and high technology. The agreement was reached during a high-level meeting between Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology, Fatih Kacir, and Vietnamese Prime Minister, Pham Minh Chinh. Prime Minister Chinh also proposed a free trade agreement and the removal of trade measures against Vietnamese imports. Turkish banks are planning to open offices in Vietnam as part of this collaboration. The two countries are set to begin negotiations on a free trade agreement at an appropriate time.
