Viettel, Vietnam’s military-run telecom provider, has successfully bid for the 2500-2600 MHz radio frequency band for 5G deployment. The company plans to use 5G to boost Vietnam’s digital economy, industry, and society. 5G is particularly beneficial for businesses needing secure and reliable connectivity, such as those in factories, ports, or airports.
The Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group aims to pilot services in 16 cities and provinces, develop smart home products, and introduce smart agriculture solutions. MobiFone, another Vietnamese telecom provider, also plans to maximize the effectiveness of its future 5G offerings.
