Ho Chi Minh City is ready to facilitate conditions for Swedish businesses, particularly in digital transformation, green, and sustainable development. This was stated by Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Vo Van Hoan. Hoan expressed Vietnam’s willingness to cooperate with Swedish businesses in promoting bilateral trade and innovation. He emphasized the importance of transitioning to green and renewable energies in production.
Håkan Jevrell, State Secretary to the Swedish Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, affirmed Sweden’s readiness to cooperate with Ho Chi Minh City in areas such as digital transformation, green growth, and sustainable development. He expressed interest in exploring potential cooperation in various fields, including innovation, energy efficiency, and waste management. Sweden is willing to share experience on increasing green energy use in production to meet European export standards and maximize the benefits of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) for trade and economic growth.
