The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector in Vietnam has witnessed a
extraordinary surge over the past two decades, marking significant milestones by the end of
2022.
In comparison to the modest revenue of 2000, which stood at 120 billion USD, the ICT
industry’s revenue soared exponentially to a staggering 400-fold increase, averaging a
remarkable 37% growth rate over a span of 19 years.
One of the most substantial developments in this sector lie in the exponential growth of IT
professionals. The number of IT personnel skyrocketed to 1,030,000, marking a staggering
20-fold increase and representing a significant 1.88% of Vietnam’s total workforce.
